This removable frame mounts into any 5.25-inch peripheral bay. Soft start circuitry increases data integrity by eliminating in-rush current during spin-up. The receiving frame offers 6 Gbps performance when used with a 6 Gbps drive and host configuration and it is backward compatible with 3 Gbps drives and hosts. The Data Express DX115 SAS/SATA 6G receiving frame uses a patented drive interface that has been tested and verified for up to 30,000 carrier insertions.
